| We will consider the space of plane curves of given degree with imposed multiplicities in points in general position. It is an open conjecture to determine the dimension of such system. By "cutting diagram method" this dimension can be computed by solving some combinatorial problem. I will show how to use this method in some cases, however I will not present the detailed proof why method works - it is simple but very technical. |
