| We recall some results and conjectures on syzygies of algebraic curves. We discuss the shape of the Betti table of the minimal resolution of a curve, which is embedded complete linear system of a high degree line bundle. We discuss recent joint work with Rob Lazarsfeld on syzgyies of higher dimensional varieties. We discuss various conjectures and open problems about the syzygies of higher dimensional varieties. |
