Titolo: ALGEBRAS OF MEASURABLE OPERATORS AFFILIATED WITH A VON NEUMANN ALGEBRA
Abstract: Let M be a semi-finite von Neumann algebra equipped with a faithful semi-finite normal trace t. The set of closed densely defined t-measurable operators affiliated with M can be given the structure of a *-algebra, and topologized by means of the topology of convergence in measure. We show that it may also be viewed as a non-commutative Orlicz space and discuss issues of local convexity and duality in this context.
