The Gysin Sequence for quantum lens spaces

Abstract: |
The Gysin exact sequence plays a crucial role not only in mathematics but also in physics, with its use in the framework of T-duality
and Chern Simons Theories. In our work is we construct a noncommutative analogue of this sequence for a class of quantum spaces which
includes quantum lens spaces. These spaces are defined as direct sum of line bundles. An analogue of the Gysin sequence in K-theory
is constructed and used to compute the K-theory of these spaces. In particular, we show explicit geometric representatives of the
K-theory classe, especially the torsion ones. I will also comment on the relations of our construction with Pimsner algebras.
