Abstract

This graduate course aims at introducing the localization techniques for equivariant cohomology of projective homogeneous varieties.
It will start with basics on root systems, reflections groups, moment graphs and structure algebras (Lectures 1 and 2). In the next two lectures we introduce formal group laws, talk about generalized cohomology theories of projective homogeneous varieties (Lectures 3 and 4). In the last lecture we explain how these two parts are related via the localization techniques.
