SPECIAL ISSUE ON SPIN-ORBIT DYNAMICS

The issue is aimed to collect the most updated results on rotational dynamics and spin-orbit resonances. The special issue will include original articles from outstanding scientists in the field as well as selected papers from young researchers. Below is a list of potential contributors:

The special issue on spin-orbit dynamics is coordinated by Alessandra Celletti and Sylvio Ferraz-Mello.

Please, refer to Alessandra Celletti (celletti [at] mat.uniroma2.it) for further inquiries.

GENERAL INFORMATION

We expect that the papers will be submitted between June 1 and  September 15, 2007 to allow enough time for the refereeing/revision procedures. The issue will be published in the course of the first semester of 2008.

(when submitting the paper, please click on the corresponding “special issue ” key)
Articles submitted should have the same level as papers published in ordinary issues of the journal and should not  duplicate papers already published or intended to be sent for publication.

"Short Notes", "Progress Reports" and "Extended Abstracts" cannot be accepted for publication.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

All papers will be reviewed by referees appointed by the journal editors and in agreement with the journal's rules.

At the end of the refereeing the paper can be
                  ACCEPTED
                  NOT ACCEPTED
                  RETURNED FOR REVISION

Papers for which we do not have, timely, an accepted final version can remain in the process of edition for publication (if the author agrees and if finally accepted) in a later issue of the journal.

The electronic edition of CM&DA is available to investigators in 4,000 institutions.

CM&DA is indexed in Astronomical and Mathematical bibliographical bases and is available to investigators from both communities.

A paper in the special issue can be considered as an occasion to introduce the treated problems in a more general way, making easy the identification of the considered dynamical problems and stressing the points of importance in the construction of the studied dynamical models. It is also an occasion to publish mathematical details not accepted in journals interested only in publishing results and phenomenological aspects.
