In 1992 I was at a "Kombinatorik" meeting in Oberwolfach. Paul Erdos was one of the participants. One morning, during a talk by a female German graph theorist Erdos, who was sitting in the first row, was accompanied out of the room by the mathematician who was sitting next to him. After a few minutes this mathematician returned to the room announcing that "Professor Erdos just collapsed". We all stood still as the organizers got up and went to call for help. That evening at dinner, the story that circulated widely was that Erdos' first words, after he had regained his senses, had been: "But does she know if it's true for C4?"
