In the academic year 1994-95 I was a member of the School of Mathematics of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. Once I happened to be at lunch with Enrico Bombieri, Armand Borel, John Nash, and a few other members. John Nash had just been awarded the Nobel prize in Economics in December of 1994. During the meal Nash talked about vitamins and how he thought that they would not be good for a cancer patient as they would strengthen the tumor more than the patient. After finishing his meal, Nash politely excused himself and left. After he did, Armand Borel turned towards the others and said: "He's the only person I know, to which winning a prize, did any good".
