General information

The journal "Celestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy" is planning to publish a thematic collection of papers on TRANS NEPTUNIAN OBJECTS, which hopes to include original articles from leading researchers in the field. We invite all authors to submit a paper. Subjects will include:

• Kuiper belt formation and dynamics
• Lidov-Kozai dynamics
• Comets and cometary reservoirs
• Planet 9
• Pluto system
• Haumea and collisional families
• Kuiper belt binaries and satellites
• Orbital resonances
• Neptune Trojans
• Scattering and detached disks
• Sednoids
• Highly inclined and retrograde orbits

• DEADLINE

  Submissions for the TNO Topical Collection will be accepted until 1 December 2019. All papers will be reviewed as in normal issues. Of course, if a paper is not included in the Topical Collection, it will appear in normal issues anyway.

• FORMAT AND STYLE

  Articles should not duplicate papers already published or which the author intends to send for publication elsewhere.
  
  Papers submitted should have the same level as papers published in ordinary issues of the journal.

  Papers whose contents only review recent publications should not be submitted without the previous agreement of the editors.
  
  "Communications", "Short notes", "Progress Reports" and "Extended Abstracts" will not be considered for publication.

• REFEREEING

  All papers will be reviewed by referees appointed by the journal editors and in agreement with the journal's rules.
  
  At the end of the refereeing the paper can be

  • NOT ACCEPTED
  • RETURNED FOR REVISION

• ELECTRONIC SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIAL

  The journal accepts electronic multimedia files (animations, movies, audio, etc.) and other supplementary files to be published online along with an article (see the journal web site for instructions.)
