Planar algebras and subfactors |
| Abstract: |
In this talk I will present the notion of planar algebra introduced by Vaughan Jones in the end of the 90's.
I will explain the connection between those objects and the subfactors.
Then I will show how to construct von Neumann algebras and, time permitting, I will give an explicit disintegration
of a
representation of a masa in a free group factor.
