Title: Large time limit and L2 invariants for families
Abstract: We develop a new approach to large time asymptotic for the heat operator of the Bismut-Lott superconnection in the L2-setting. As applications: the L2 index theorem for the family of signature operators holds, without assumptions on the fibrewise Novikov-Shubin invariants; the secondary invariants eta-form and torsion-form are well defined when the fibre is determinant class. This is a ongoing joint work with Sebastian Goette and Thomas Schick.
