Analysis on singular spaces, Lie manifolds, and non-commutative geometry |
Abstract: |
We will discuss a method to model analysis on singular spaces using
Lie manifolds and desingularizations of stratified spaces. Some
typical analysis problems such as the Hadamard well-posedness of
geometric operators can be approached using groupoids, \(C^*\)-algebras,
\(K\)-theory, and index theory. Some of the main techniques used involve
representations of groupoid algebras, cyclic homology, and the geometry
of manifolds with nice ends (Lie manifolds).
